What I've learnt from looking at other students work.
-I've learnt how important the research and planning side of things are and that the better mark you get in that section the easier it will make the construction.
-I saw a really good story board and animation on one of the other students work which was brilliant and I want to take inspiration from that when I do mine.
-It gave me an idea of the level my work will have to be to get a good grade and how much effort and work I have to put in.
-I quite liked how easy some of the navigation was on the blogs and websites and how it makes a difference for someone marking it.
-I quite liked the range of technology and presentation methods some of the other students used but I also saw how boring it gets if you repeat the same method over and over again and how much of a difference it makes to the marking if there is a range of technology used.

What Went Well:
There was a good use of Jump Cuts which where cut in time with the music which made the video look quite professionally made and quite interesting to watch.
The location used were well thought of and really fit in with the genre of song.
The camera movement throughout the video was steady and they where a good variety of shots from different angles and shot types.
There was a good use of the fade shot transition over most of the jump cuts and an appriopiate use at the end to signal the end of the song.
Overall the cuts where too the music and the video was made really well
Even Better If:
Some of the performance shots were too dark and you could barely see the guys face this was probably supposed to be conventional but some areas jjust seemed to dark to me.
What i've learnt from this video:
If I use jump cuts in my video I may take into account the way they utalised them in this video because I thought it looked really good.
The use of shot transitions in this video made it look really cool and professional which is something I want to aim my video to be so will use this video as some sort of inspiratiobn for mine.

What Went Well:
The video used a variety of shots such as close-ups and mid-shots .
The video utalises a good use of fade effects in the shot changes which is really good .
The video cuts well with the music which is something crucial in music videos.
The person thought well about the actor used and made sure she fits into the genre of music as she looks similar to the original artist.
Even Better If:
After a while the shots mostly at one location became a bit tedious to watch and if they used several more locatiions it ma have been etter in my opinion
Near the end of the video the camera pans and we can see the edge of the white screen they use which was something they could hav e cut outt or used another shot as it's quite noticeable but as it only happened once it shouldn't have effected there grade too much.
What i've learnt from this video:
I've learnt that a selection of different locations will help the video look more interesting and that using a variety of shots from the saem location looks really well which will be something to keep in mind when I do my music video.

What Went Well:
I quite like the way they used the extreme close-up of the piano because I thought that it fit well the the genre and gave for a really interesting shot.
They utalised a good use pf shot transtions betwenn some of the shots which made the video look a lot better.
They seemed to have thought out the majority of narrative shots really well like the location and theme as it fit in with the song.
Even Better If:
The video would have looked better if the performer made more of an effort as it was clear that he wasn't really trying or looked really unenthuasiatic which sort of ruined the video.
The mise en scene of the performance shots were not really well thought out which let the video down a bit.
Some narrative shots such as the one where the guy jumped from the car had no relevance to the rest of the video and sort of didn't make much sense to me.
I also thought the video would have looked better if the performer wasn't delibratly trying to look into the camera so much the direct looks made the video look less professional.
What i've learnt from this video:
I've learnt that a well thought out narrative looks really well if it's integrate into the song properly and makes sense tto the song which will be something to keep in mind for my video.
I quite liked the use of the extrem close-ups of the piano as I thought it made for an interesting shot and is something I really want to add into my video maybe not of a piano but some other form of instruement
i've also seen how important the performer is and how it looks really bad if they don't put the effort in as it doesn't look thast great which will be something I will definatly have to think about in my video to find a performer who is really into it.
